Brian's first birthday

Last weekend Oskar and Gladys son Brian celebrated his very first birthday!
So Romy made a special paint bowlingpin for him, in blue with gold flakes......ofcourse with number one on the front made with stars ;)
Because the pin got a littlebit chilly we bought him a nice and warm vest (with stars...what else :D)

Weekly crowd

After the pizzaparty on tuesdaynight, last night Reinoud and Dennis showed up with a friend that bought a stock '64beetle......yuch!!
This car also have to "meet" the street, so I'm going to make a 5" narrowed beam in combination with a set of dropped spindles....it's going to be a scraper too!
It was a nice (cold!) evening, littlebit clowdy and a full moon, so I took some cool pictures!

Sightseeing Holland

Yesterday we made a 400 mile roundtrip trough the Netherlands to see some bugs that are for sale, and to visit (some of them spontaniously ;) some friends in the East of Holland.
We started in Twello to see a '71 "spahr käfer".........real solid car, but sadly handpainted by a blind person.
So we continued our trip and suddenly a 21-window samba came around the corner, how often does that happen!!
We drove from Twello to Deventer, and made a  stop at the aircooled.nl shop!It was cool to see Marty's new shop, and see the progress on NWMike's old '60 beetle.After some coffee (thnx for that Marty!), we drove to "Longbridge" in Deventer.

We bought some very cool 5Jx10" wheels for Alex his '78 mini, looked around, and made some pictures, hahahaha

 ...........and then hit the pedal to go to Enschede!In Enschede we had to pick up a friend of Alex, and because we were in the Neighbourhood, we decieded to bring a visit to our good friend Hajee to see the '58 rag and '65 11-window.Too bad the rag was picked up by some belgium people an hour before we arrived, but there was plenty of time to check out the split and have some coffee! (b.t.w., thnx for the axle Hajee!!)

Then we drove back to the slamshop, to blast the 10" wheels, clean the garage out and mount a 40" whiteboard to write down how much pizza's we had on tuesdaynight :)
At the end of the day, last but not least, we had the "nightcruise" trough the south of Holland.
And IT IS Holland, so it rained, rained, rained.........and rained.
We made our own competition, so I drove in the 412LS with my neigbour Frank, and Romy together wit Saskia in a 1300 beetle.
Because of the weather, almost no pictures where taken....too bad!

A day in the shed!

There's a new daily visitor in the shop :)
A 17,5 year old cat  with Alzheimer's disease.........he don't remember where his food and home is.
So I give him a littlebit catfood every day, and he doesn't leave anymore!
Further I removed the sliding roof from the deluxe, and ordered all the small parts that I need to get it working again, so I have to wait till my parts arrive from New York :S
While I was waiting for that, I cleaned out the floor too!
And romy started working  on her 1:14 T2a deluxe........sh got some special things planned for that bus!!

Hot Mexicano!

My daily driver at the moment, a decent lowered (NO scraper) '82 Silverbug.
It's driving marveless :)
It drives fine in the city, and does 120km/u on the highway!!
It's not staying in the family very long I think,  but for now it's fun to drive a daily beetle again :)

Slamshop bowling

Finally I can do a sport with my own equipment :)

Gold metallic with red- and green teinted gold flakes, and an old style textlogo on it :D

Its getting its last layers of clear paint later this week, so more pics will follow soon!

October cruisnight!

Last tuesday we had the last cruisnight from this year :(
Too bad!
But, when the weather is fine in November, we still get together at la Baraque for some dinner and a beer, so if you want you're always welcome to drop by!

Total destruction!

I think we were too inspired by the Monsterjam trucks, so we tried to tear a Chrysler voyager apart :)
You take a broke-down Voyager, a big 2,5T chain, and a 6,7L V8 Suburban....... let the games begin!!

Demolition day

Yesterday my neighbour Frank and I where a littlebit bored, so we started to clean out the parkinglot in the back.
A few cars were too bad to repair, so.....do something fun with it!!!
We tried to blow up the engine of a Mazda 121, with a littlebit of help from a can of brakecleaner the engine goes up to 8000 RPM :)
